Before the warm weather disappeared ...

...we joined 3 other families to
check out the new water slides in town!

For those of you familiar with overseas living, you know it's not always easy to hit the ground running. We returned to a flat that needed several repairs, a car that broke down twice and to the surprising news that our landlord wants us to move out in a few weeks!

So, when we received an email on Friday about a last-minute Saturday morning outing to the new water park in town, we jumped at the chance for a little break to be with our friends. We were also keeping the twin daughters of our good friends (who were attending an out-of-town conference) so we thought this would be a great outdoor activity for all ... before the cooler weather hits!

Isn't this such a FUN photo?
The girls loved cheering for David as he raced down the slide.

After spending all that time in the pool at the Memphis Y
and with her cousins in Florida, Moriah thoroughly enjoyed
splashing about in this shallow kiddie pool.

There's nothing like a good hug ... Annalise gives good ones!

Verity keeps an eye on the "big" slides,
waiting for the daddies to emerge from the slide.

Aunt Ida, the fish towels you gave us in Memphis made it
all the way over here! Thank you so much!

Okay, now for this RANDOM photo! David asked me, "Where's our camera?" I handed it to him and he returned a few seconds later, showing me this photo and said, "You should blog this!"

I'm not sure why but he thinks it's interesting ... so, here it is. It's our "Target shkaf." A "shkaf" is an armoire-type piece of furniture and this is where I hide our goodies from the States. The longer we live here, the less dependent I feel on U.S. products but there are still a few items I like to stock up on (because they are either totally unavailable here or if they are, they are super expensive here). And for some reason, we dubbed this our "Target shkaf" because it feels like I'm going to Target (ha ha) when I grab an item off this shelf.
