Warning: A Lopsided Blog
This blog is our "all play, no work" website because we have to limit this blog to personal/family updates only and will continue to send work-related news via our snail mail letter. Also, to check the current time in our city, please scroll down to our time stamp at the bottom of this page.
Babies No More
Finally ... 2 weeks after the original projected start date, Annalise's & Moriah's preschool opened today with a bang! The teachers said all the kids had a great day and I'm thrilled that after some ups and downs, all the parents pulled together to get this co-op preschool off the ground!
Even more emotional for me (as a mom) is to realize that I truly don't have any babies in the house anymore. To see my thirdborn don a backpack and head to preschool was mind-blowing for me. I know I sound so trite but it truly does feel like just yesterday that I was holding them as newborns in the hospital. Maybe I am ready for Baby #4?
Our long-term blog readers know we always take a first-day photo by the front door. Moriah talked about her "lunch box and pack-pack" for days! You could tell she loves being one of the "big girls" now.
And Annalise was chomping at the bit to be in the 4-year old class. Being an "upperclassman" is always a fun experience. =)
We're renting a pretty run-down home this year but one of the moms, Holly, did a fabulous job painting some murals to brighten up the courtyard. There is a jungle scene on the other side of the courtyard.
Here are a few seconds from this morning's circle time ...
And yes, they are growing up but thank goodness, they are not totally grown and married yet. But of course, like all little girls, our daughters love to play "wedding." This shows Moriah's turn as the bride ... (and since when do bridesmaids curtsy down the aisle, Annalise?)
