Jump Into Spring!

March has been extremely busy for us. So busy that I'm sporting the classic "Jenni-is-run-down" cold sore. But today kicks off our two-week Spring Break and both David and I are in desperate need of some rest & refreshment. I'll do just that (rest!) after I update this blog with a few random photos from this past week ...

Above is a photo of Verity participating in her school's "Jump-A-Thon" to raise money for the needy in this country.

That same day, Annalise & Moriah loved their preschool field trip to "Deni" - a playroom in town.
A few days later, Moriah helped me decorate a birthday cake for my language tutor. Aren't they both darling? I remember our very first language lesson 2 1/2 years ago when my tutor painstakingly taught me the alphabet. Since then, I have made very slow progress in the language but I'm thrilled that today, we can finally share deeply from our hearts with one another for hours!
Verity and her classmates are showing off some generous donations from our friends in Memphis ... you know who you are. THANK YOU!!! Everybody loved the amazing items you donated to our school!

Capitalizing on the momentum from the recent Jump-a-Thon AND on the fact that it was the first day of spring break, Verity invited a few friends over today to watch the movie Jump In about double dutch jump-roping!
And last but not least, March 10th was a special day. My brother, Jacob, turned 29 in Seoul, Korea. Happy Birthday, Jake! We love you! I stole this photo off his Facebook account ... I love it! He's shown here blowing out his candles with my dad clapping in the background. My mom was there, too. Yes, I am a little bit jealous. Wish I could have been there, too.
