Will we make it? We spoke with Lufthansa today and due to our excess baggage, they have asked us to call them with the exact weight and dimensions of each bag ... by tomorrow (Saturday, August 2nd)!!! That means we have lost a day of packing! Operation "Finish Packing in 24 Hours" has begun and God has sent us lots of helping hands. My brother, Jake, and my parents are helping with our girls and my UCLA friend (and former roommate in Central Asia), Jodi Mullarky, came by to lend her packing skills for a few hours! Having lived overseas long-term twice already, she is a packing pro! Thanks, Jodi! Also, thank you, Tony Bergman, for lending us your shipping scale ... I don't know what we would have done without it. It's helping us calculate weight down to the ounce!The above photo was taken around 4pm. The photo below was taken at 10:30pm. Progress! Eight suitcases down ... a lot more to go! So why am I blogging right now? Good question. Back to work now.
