Aren't these boys just adorable???Well, these two boys have grown up to be awesome men who are celebrating their 40th birthdays today!
All of us wish you, Daniel (L) and David (R), a wonderful 40th birthday!!! (Though you can tell them apart as adults, I don't think I'll ever figure out how to tell them apart in their childhood photos.)
The girls and I want David to know that we think he is an amazing husband and daddy! What a privilege to be the four girls who get to celebrate your 40th with you! And we also want Daniel to know that we think he is an amazing brother, brother-in-law and uncle!
Looking back on both of their lives, I am really encouraged and inspired by how they have lived their lives ... honoring God and blessing others. And it is also impossible not to laugh around these two ... they are a joy (and a riot) to be around!
David's 40th birthday celebration has morphed into a week-long affair. The girls and I are treating David to a special dinner out as a family. This Saturday, we will transform our small flat into a "comedy club" where we will celebrate with our entire team. (We'll be watching a comedian named Brian Regan ... here is a sample of his act.) And the following Tuesday, he will enjoy yet another night out with some more friends. More birthday photos to come.
David also wanted to leave a message for his brother ... "Daniel, you have been a best friend, an inspiration, a blessing, and a incredible encouragement to me. I cannot imagine how different my life would have been without you. My life has been so deeply enriched because I have had the privilege to call you brother and friend. I love you. Happy Birthday!!"
