For the Williams Family, June brings three celebrations: the end of school, Father's Day and Annalise's birthday.
End of school
When we first landed in this country, we arrived with a 4-year old, a 2-year old and a newborn. Now to be here in June 2009, watching our eldest finish 1st grade and our younger two finish another year of preschool confirms to me that they really do grow up in the blink of an eye.
At Verity's end-of-the-year awards assembly, it was so encouraging to watch the teachers affirm each student for a character trait they displayed that year.
Verity received hers for being "joyful" and in addition, she received the blue certificate for memorizing all her Scripture verses for that year! We told Verity that we are most proud of that blue certificate because "hiding God's word in your heart" is one of the best things you can do!
The whole family also attended Annalise's promotion from preschool. Here she is being handed her "diploma" from her phenomenal teacher.

Father's Day
What can I give to a daddy who gives 110% to his family all-year round? It is a tad difficult to shop for David ... he can never think of gift ideas for himself and whenever he offers anything remotely specific, he usually says "coffee beans." How much coffee can I give the guy?
No, for this year's Father's Day ... I wanted to bless him with something that really spoke his language. He loves to camp and (understatement-of-the-year coming) ... I don't. But when a group of friends decided to go camping Father's Day weekend, I thought, "What a perfect way to celebrate David."
We went to Cloudcatcher Canyon (about 4-5 hours away) and it's not hard to see why the travel book named it so.

Happy Father's Day to a daddy who truly holds nothing back when it comes to blessing his family. We both have amazing fathers as well. Happy Father's Day to Floyd Williams & Peter Lee!
Annalise's 5th Birthday
When my friend raved about the local Jockey Club, I knew we had to celebrate Annalise's 5th birthday there. For weeks, Annalise would gallop around the house, laughing and neigh-ing in anticipation of her birthday. We told her she could invite 2 of her preschool playmates and they spent her birthday afternoon riding horses. Annalise, you are our free spirited, joyful middle daughter and words cannot express how grateful we are for these 5 years God has given us with you. Happy 5th, Annalisimo!
