Presents for the Preschool!

We wanted to publicly thank our generous friends and family who donated a lot of wonderful educational supplies to Verity's preschool that is only in its first year. Thank you for taking the time to hunt down the supplies, pack them in a box and ship them to us ... just to bless Verity and her classmates whom you have never met! It was a blast to carry each box up to the preschool and to see the gratitude on the teachers' faces as they looked through each one. Thank you so much! The collage above shows each box being opened at the preschool. In order of receipt, we wanted to thank (going counterclockwise) ...

About 5 years ago, when we first told my brother, Jacob, that we were pregnant with our first baby, he said, "I want to be the best uncle that I can be." He has certainly kept his word. Most recently, when he found out that Verity's preschool needed a copier, he decided to raise the funds himself with the help of his thoughtful friends.

So, a HUGE thank you also goes out to Uncle Jacob and his crew: Donna, Melissa, Dominique, Mara, Kristin, Tesia, Chris, Joe, Steve, Josh, Eric and Garrett!!! Here is Verity showing off the school's new printer/copier that was purchased with your generous donations.

Thank you once again to all of you for caring about a group of preschoolers who live on the other side of the globe. We are so grateful for your enthusiasm and generosity in providing fabulous supplies for these kids. Thank you! Here is Verity and her friend, Abby, in the school's backyard that was converted into a "playground." Verity loves swinging in those red swings.
