Celebrating our freedom!

Happy 4th of July to you! We celebrated with friends from our church in Yorba Linda (which Verity can't pronounce so she calls them our "Blinda" friends.) Being with them made me so thankful for the many sweet friendships God has blessed us with while living in Orange County.

Celebrating the
4th also made me so thankful for the many freedoms we enjoy ... both as citizens of this country and as believers. As I reflect on the fact that we will no longer be residents of this country in a few short weeks, I can't tell you how grateful I am for how
freely we live out our lives here. But more importantly, I am so grateful for the incredible freedom I experienced the day I began my relationship with Christ. I am ashamed to admit that I take both for granted at times and so this holiday weekend was a great reminder of the blessings we have.

It is truly a gift to be able to freely use our lives and gifts for their true purpose!
