Their school's Annual Harvest Party (held in late September) is a big hit with our girls. Still in the habit of dressing-alike, all three of them wanted to wear the new glittery tank tops David's parents gave them in order to look like "rock stars." Wouldn't you pay to see them live in concert? ;)
Cotton candy, carnival games, an international potluck ...
the Harvest Party is a favorite in our family.
Another event the girls enjoyed was China Day. They brought home all this cool trivia about China that I never knew! It was an option to dress-up for China Day and thankfully, our sweet friends (Richard & Esther Chen) had given us this outfit from China a few years ago. And I'm also thankful the girls didn't fight over it ... Verity was content to wear the top and Annalise was content to wear the skirt.
We love the teachers at the school. How can we thank them enough for all that they do to educate our girls, many of them having moved from the States to do so?! We invited them over for a Teacher Appreciation Dinner and it was fun for our girls to enjoy them on our home turf. Remember when you were younger and you assumed that teachers LIVED at the school and had no outside life? Our girls got to see them in a different light as we ate dinner and played games.
The teachers hand out student-of-the-week certificates so we turned the tables on them and gave them Teacher of the Week certificates. We wanted them to truly see how grateful we are for their hard work. Annalise (in blue) got a kick out of handing one of her kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Joy (in orange), a Teacher of the Week certificate.
And we love our preschool teachers, too. A few weeks ago, we also had Mrs. Kamala and Miss Gulya (sisters) over for dinner. (Miss Gunay, this was before you were hired ... we'll do this again so you can come, too!) They are GEMS. Thank you for all your hard work caring for Moriah!
