September means school and ....

Grandparents Day! And typically on Grandparents Day, we try to mail cards back to the States.

But THIS year, David's parents landed ON Grandparents Day for a 10-day visit! We absolutely loved having them here and we're already plotting on how to get them to visit us again.

Catching up on hugs & cuddles!

In front of a local mosque

Touring the Old City
Shopping for scarves

We are surrounded by beautiful fountains in this city!

And yes, school did start for the girls so I let them play "hooky" a bit so that we can spend a lot of quality time with Nana & Papa.

Knowing our girls enjoy their schools is a huge relief to us. Before moving overseas, we weren't sure what to expect in terms of their schooling but to see their enthusiasm for school every morning is a big blessing!

We don't go "back-to-school" shopping the way we would back in the U.S. but last summer while visiting the States, I made sure I bought enough clothes to last Verity for 2 years. She had fun looking through the "size 7" box for a new outfit. She's already begging me to look through her "size 8" box. =) Here's the outfit she deemed worthy for her first day as a 2nd grader.
Annalise is OVER THE MOON that she is finally in kindergarten and attending the same school as her big sister.
Moriah was sad that Annalise would no longer be attending preschool with her but having these amazing women as her preschool teachers took the edge off the transition. Here she is helping them set-up the bookshelf.
