A Decade of Blessings

Ten years ago today, I stood as a best man in a very special wedding. My twin brother, Daniel, and his wife, Amy, are celebrating their 10th anniversary today! Happy 10th Anniversary to you both!

Over this past decade, it has been a huge encouragement to me to watch Daniel grow in his relationship with the Lord, grow his family (they now have 3 beautiful girls) and grow his business (The Williams Company). Daniel & Amy have been an incredible blessing to my family and we're so grateful for all the ways they have stood by us over the years. We wish you a very special anniversary, Daniel and Amy! Congratulations!

And speaking of 10-year anniversaries ... Jenni unexpectedly received a
very encouraging e-mail today from an old friend. As we adjust to life here, this e-mail was a very timely reminder of how God can use each of us in someone else's life.

During the summer of 1997, Jenni and I had "switched places." I was back in the States for Daniel's & Amy's wedding and Jenni was in Kyrgyzstan (where I had been living) for the summer. During her time there, she became friends with a special young woman named I
ra. (This photo was taken 6 years after their first meeting when we returned to Central Asia with 10-month old Verity in tow.)

Here is what Ira wrote: Hello dearest Jenni, I would like to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for sharing the Gospel with me 10 years ago! I am very thankful to God for our meeting. I will never forget you and that day, and all your care for me. I still have all the letters you sent me during my first years in Christ which were a joy and an encouragement for me. With much love, Ira

Ira, we are so encouraged by your life and friendship as well. Happy 10th Anniversary to you, too!

LOVE the new blog features, especially the slide show. In fact, I loved it so much I copied it, Li'l Sis! Except, it took me forever to figure it out-- seriously. I should have just emailed you. Anyway, I'm really excited about it! Take care! Love, YBS
